A half forward whose meteoric and brilliant career for East and North Fremantle also included the first West Australian interstate trip in 1904. He was described as “of the India rubber type who came in from all angles to mark superbly, had extraordinary dash and could kick well”. He was also later a league umpire and became a football journalist and historian of renown in a remarkable overall contribution to WA football.
