Gra Grosvenor was affectionately known as "Mr Amateur Football".  When he died in December 1980, he had served a record 43 years as secretary of the biggest football league in WA.  The WAAFL grew from 17 teams, with an A and B division, iIn 1937 to 158 teams at the time of his departure.
